Description

Volume-based indicator & Custom Script

It serves as both a dynamic support/resistance tool and a visual reference that helps traders identify the prevailing trend direction.

Advanced Pro Alerts System: Trigger alerts not just on crossovers, but also when the price "approaches" a line (customizable tick distance).

Smart Alert Management: Includes "Max Alert Repeats" and a tick-based "Reset Distance" to prevent alert spamming during consolidation.

Custom Sessions: Set specific start and end times for the VWAP calculation, ignoring outside hours.

5 Deviation Bands: Up to 5 standard deviation bands, each with individual toggles and custom multipliers.

Trend-Based Coloring: The main VWAP line changes color dynamically based on whether the price is above (Bullish) or below (Bearish) it.

Multiple Data Sources: Choose between Total, Bid, or Ask volume, and various price sources (HLC3, OHLC4, etc.).

The indicator calculates the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) over a user-defined period (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or a Custom Time Session). It computes the standard deviation of price variance to plot up to 5 outer bands.

The built-in alert engine constantly monitors the tick distance between the current price and the active lines. If "Cross" mode is selected, it alerts on break-throughs. If "Approach" mode is selected, it alerts when the high/low of the candle enters the user-defined tick proximity of a band.

It is highly customizable. Users can adjust:

  • Timeframes & Sessions: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or exact Custom Session times.
  • Sensitivities: Multipliers for all 5 deviation bands.
  • Alert Engine: Trigger mode (Cross/Approach), Approach distance in ticks, Alert reset distance in ticks, Max repeats, and individual sound files for each level.
  • Visuals: Custom colors for Bullish/Bearish trends and line styles.

Usage examples:

  • Mean Reversion Trading: A trader sets Deviation 3 and 4 with alerts in "Approach" mode (e.g., 2 ticks). When the price is stretched and touches these extreme bands, the trader receives an alert to look for a reversal entry, without needing to constantly monitor the chart.
  • Session Breakouts: A trader sets a "Custom Session" to match the regular trading hours (RTH) open. The VWAP anchors exactly at the open, and the trader uses the main VWAP crossover alert to catch the early trend direction.
  • Pullback Entries: Using the trend-colored VWAP, a trader identifies a strong bullish trend (VWAP is blue). They wait for the price to pull back to Deviation 1 or the main VWAP, using the alerts to time their continuation entries.
