Custom script — volatility and session range analysis tool
The ATR Range indicator calculates the current session's range (high minus low) in real time and compares it against the instrument's Average True Range over a configurable lookback period. The result is displayed as a percentage of range consumed — giving traders an immediate read on how much potential movement remains in the session. When the consumed range approaches or exceeds 100% of the ATR, the indicator flags extended market conditions, helping traders assess whether a session move may be approaching exhaustion.
Users can adjust the ATR lookback period and the session time boundaries to match their preferred trading session. Visual display settings including colors and threshold levels are configurable directly within ATAS.
